Friday 22nd Saturday 23rd Sunday 24th MAY 2009
FEATURING
From Nashville Tennessee
VAN PRESTON
Reviews
Every so often you'll hear a singer with so much joy in her voice you can't help but smile, Van Preston will hit you this way with well crafted lyrics to match her sassy soprano.
Preston's self-titled release has a decidedly classic country flavour along the lines of Dwight Yoakum or Loretta Lynn, sweet fiddle and pedal steal add just enough sparkle without detracting from the lyrics.
Highlights include what goes around, comes around and fast paced Heartbroken for the last time but the cherry on the top of this musical sundae is " Bought me a toy" when I'm missing you i just snap that baby right out of the case and it gets rid of my blues.

LETHARGY
From the deepest darkest depths of South Wales come Lethargy a band whose gritty grunge-addled debut, 2005s Road to nowhere self financed at a cost of £3000 went largely unnoticed among much of the main stream hard-rock press untill that is it was picked up by Geoff Barton at Classic Rock, described as reminiscent of Temple of the dog on a budget the subsequent exposure along with an intensive touring slog the length and breadth of the British Isles allowed the Neath foursome to gain the interest of David Prater(the man responsible for Dream Theaters opus Images and Words) they subsequently recruited and flew him over to Wales to record PURIFICATION over four weeks in a remote studio in Mwnci.
With the input of the heavily respected enigmatic producer behind the decks the band have now taken there first steps towards presenting themselves to the masses gaining the thumbs up from no-less than Bruce Dickinson(Iron Maiden) along the way who gave album opener "Stealth" an airing on BBC Radio 6 Rock Show.
