After years as independent bikers, mixing with clubs at various parties and rallies, in October 1995 three friends were expressing their frustration with the `scene`. One had been out of the Army for a number of years, the other  two were still serving.  All agreed that what they needed was a club for like-minded bikers that shared a common background, that of the military. Various names were bandied about but the one that was most pertinent was PATRIOTS

"A person who is  devoted to and ready to support or defend his country and what he believes in."

The name was already in use in Australia, contact was made and after letters and phone calls the basic concept for Patriots MC UK was born.  In January 1996 the first official meeting was held, this was an invite only meeting where the `vision` was then relayed to everyone present, they were asked to go away and decide whether they were prepared for the commitment.

In March it was agreed that those present that day would be the founder members.  All members were to wear black leather/denim cut-offs with their Regimental/Service badge on the front right breast.  A front flash of PATRIOTS was worn on the left breast.

The back patch came from the Combined Services crest - The blood red and black swords from the Army, the royal blue from the Royal Air Force's eagle and the navy blue anchor from the Navy.  The skull represents those that have given the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their country. We will Remember them.  The beret is universal and is used by all three services.  The top and bottom rockers were black writing on an olive drab backing, in keeping with the military origins of the club.

With all protocol duly respected and the final design of the patch agreed, in May 1997 the PATRIOTS MC UK officially became a back patch club.

In January 1998 on a misty morning in Lincolnshire, the club were hit in the worst possible way. Richie our brother, founder member and Sergeant at Arms died in a motorcycle accident.  We will always remember him and hold a Memorial Run every year on the anniversary of his death.

The Clubs friendship world wide has grown with strong bonds created with Veterans MC, Combat Veterans Belgium, USA Patriots and a number of other Forces Clubs around the world.  From the original idea in 1996 the Club has grown and evolved into a Brotherhood that stretches across the world.

In August 2005 after many years of mutual respect and friendship, the Veterans MC and ourselves agreed that to cement our brotherhood and alliance, a mutual change of colour was the way forward. Both clubs wished to retain their individuality so a decision was reached to change the colour of our patches whilst still retaining our separate identities. In August 2007 the Combat Veterans Belgium joined the brotherhood and alliance and adopted our colours, Green and White

On October 15th 2005 we adopted our new colours

The club has grown over the years, forging deep bonds and friendships along the way with many likeminded bikers all over the world.  We have our own pub called The Patriot  in Crumlin, South Wales, which is open to all. We attend parties and rallies and hold our own Patriot Games each year.

Serving and ex-serving members of the United Kingdom Armed Forces have set up the PATRIOTS MC UK for likeminded bikers.  The membership is national and open to all that can provide proof of a minimum of three years service full time, regular service or ex full time regular service and is by club invitation.  Representatives are located throughout the UK, please state your home county in your email so that your local rep. can contact you.

We ride all year round and travel all over the U.K., into Europe and across the pond to be with our brothers.
